The Ultimate Guide to Boiler Gas Burner Maintenance
Operators responsible for the daily operation of boilers must learn about the operation and maintenance of boiler burners. Boiler operators should meet the "three knowledges and four skills" standard: understanding the operating principles, operating procedures, and safety regulations; and being able to operate the boiler, troubleshoot problems, perform minor repairs, and conduct routine maintenance. If any abnormalities are detected during burner operation, the boiler should be shut down immediately and a maintenance technician contacted. Before opening the burner for inspection or repair, the power and fuel supply must be disconnected.
1. When the boiler door is locked, ensure it is securely closed and stable.
2. Do not burn paper or garbage in the boiler.
3. The boiler and burner safety systems include: Explosion-proof door (boiler body), heating system pressure protection, water level protection, air pressure protection, high gas pressure protection, low gas pressure protection, and flame monitoring. During operation, all safety signals are sent to the control panel. The burner will only start if all safety signals are normal.
4. The gas pipeline's airtightness has been checked during installation. It should not be disassembled unless absolutely necessary. If disassembled, the airtightness must be rechecked after reconnection.
5. The gas supply pressure must not exceed the maximum allowable pressure specified on the burner's nameplate. If the supply pressure is abnormal, shut down the burner immediately.
6. If the filter in the gas line is dirty, close the valve, and clean (or replace) the filter.
7. Keep the photosensitive element of the flame sensor clean. Clean it regularly. When reinserting the sensor, ensure the photosensitive part is facing forward. 8. The temperature around the boiler burner should not be too high, as this may damage some components of the burner, especially the control box.
9. Keep the area around the burner clean and free of debris to prevent debris from being sucked into the burner and causing damage.
10. Excessive, insufficient, or unstable voltage can damage some components of the burner and may also affect its normal operation.
11. Avoid getting water on the burner. Keep the room dry and well-ventilated.
12. The burner requires a certain volume of combustion air. Ensure good air circulation in the boiler room.
13. If the boiler burner fails to ignite, wait approximately 10 minutes for any flammable gas to dissipate before attempting to restart the burner. If it fails to ignite three times consecutively, do not attempt to restart it; contact SWT burner professional technician for repair.
